Q. Is a single fat grafting substantial?
NOTE aims to finish fat grafting as a single-time procedure most of the time and does not use cryopreserved fat. Depending on the fat survival rate of patients, two or three times might be required. However, we try to satisfy patients with just a one-time procedure in conjunction with PRP or stem cell enriched fat grafting.
Q. How long do I have to wait to have a fat grafting after a filler treatment?
Fillers usually last about 12 to 18 months and melt in the body after. Therefore, fillers injected before that period of time do not affect the fat graft, but it is safe to let the surgeon know about the previously injected fillers. You may remove the fillers before the surgery if they are hyaluronic acid fillers or if you can feel them.
Q. How likely is it to be blind due to filler side effects?
Experienced plastic surgeons, who very often look inside the body through surgery, know significant anatomical structures that could be affected by specific filler injections, so filler treatments are comparably safe. Some so-called “specialists” from certain clinics tend to inject fillers just based on the manual, like a factory, which could risk side effects. Therefore, you must talk to plastic surgeons who have enough knowledge about both fillers and human anatomy and have sophisticated touch-up skills.
